Sounds Logical was formed in 1998. We are a provider of innovative audio tools for the PC platform. Our customer base extends from home-users (musicians, project studios, etc.) to corporate R&D and university research laboratories including: BMW, Creative Labs, IBM, Johns Hopkins University, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Northwestern University, Siemens, Stanford University, TC Electronics, University of Durham, and University of Liverpool.

Our background is in aerospace engineering. Our founder, Yusuf Jafry, has an engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, Scotland (BSc, 1986), plus graduate degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Masters degree, 1988) and Stanford University (PhD, 1992), both in the field of spacecraft dynamics and control. We harness the advanced techniques from aerospace real-time signal processing and apply them in the audio domain, bringing you a uniquely specialised set of tools.

Since December 2000, Sounds Logical has been a MATLAB Connections Partner, a world-wide group of companies providing products and services based on the MATLAB technical computing environment. In March 2003 we went "back to our roots" and re-located our head office from the Netherlands to the British Isles.
