Press Release
1 July 2002: M-Pack 1 joins MATLAB Connections Program
We
are pleased to announce the acceptance of our "M-Pack 1:
WAV file processing toolbox for MATLAB®" in the MATLAB
Connections Program.
M-Pack
1 is a collection of MATLAB functions for processing WAV files
of arbitrary size, extending MATLAB's built-in WAV file handling
functionality. The toolbox is built around the core WAV file I/O
functions (wavin
& wavout
) which operate chunk-by-chunk to perform "disk-based"
processing of WAV files without prohibitive RAM consumption.
The
target audience includes audio engineers, signal processing engineers,
acoustics engineers, educators, researchers, students, and musicians
and sound-designers. Most of the functions are compatible with
the MATLAB Compiler, and can be used in standalone applications
for distribution.
"MATLAB
is the leading technical computing environment used by engineers
and scientists worldwide, so we very much welcome the opportunity
for M-Pack 1 to join the MATLAB Connections Program. With M-Pack
1 and WaveWarp, our flagship product (already a Connections Partner
Product), we provide the tools to further enhance the productivity
of MATLAB in the digital audio domain," said Yusuf Jafry,
PhD, founder of Sounds Logical.
"We
are pleased to welcome Sounds Logical's M-Pack 1 into the MATLAB
Connections Program," said Jim Tung, chief market development
officer at The MathWorks. "The program enables our partners
to provide customers with tools and capabilities that build on
and complement our own products. Sounds Logical's products - built
using the MATLAB open-system architecture - are good examples
of this."
MATLAB
MATLAB® integrates mathematical computing, visualization,
and a powerful language to provide a flexible environment for
technical computing. The open architecture makes it easy to use
MATLAB and its companion products to explore data, create algorithms,
and create custom tools that provide early insights and competitive
advantages.
