| What can you do with WaveWarp
for MATLAB®? |
|
|
In addition
to the full functionality of
WaveWarp 2.0, WaveWarp for MATLAB
contains components which allow you to do the following:
- use MATLAB
as a real-time "in-the-loop" processor of audio
streams managed by WaveWarp
- send audio and/or control data in real-time to the MATLAB
workspace
- receive audio and/or control data in real-time from
the MATLAB
workspace
- implement in real-time any digital filters (FIR or IIR)
designed in MATLAB
- view/capture audio data via a real-time oscilloscope
implemented as a MATLAB
GUI (with flexible zoom and triggering features)
- view any workspace signal (via a waveform viewer implemented
as a MATLAB
GUI) and select a region (e.g. for defining an audio loop)
which can then be sent (seamlessly) to WaveWarp for instant
playback (WAV file import/export functionality also included
in the GUI)
- generate a 2D control signal trajectory via a mouse-activated
tablet implemented as a MATLAB
GUI
In addition to these "on-line" MATLAB-enabled
components, the toolbox also contains a set of m-files for
performing a range of "off-line" tasks such as
importing/exporting ASCII files in the appropriate formats
readable by WaveWarp's standalone (i.e. non-MATLAB-enabled)
digital filters and wavetable signal generators, etc.
Important
notices:
- WaveWarp
for MATLAB® is only compatible
with MATLAB 6 (R12) and
MATLAB 6.1 (R12.1). It is
NOT compatible with MATLAB 6.5 (R13) or versions
of MATLAB earlier than 6.0 (R12).
- Windows
NT4/2000 is required in order for
WaveWarp for MATLAB®
to be used in conjunction with WaveWarp's DirectX functionality
(e.g. for streaming data from your sequencer to MATLAB
via WaveWarp). This combination is not functional under
Windows 95/98/ME.
