Microsoft DirectX Media 6.0 Runtime
Libraries Download
WaveWarp
2.0 requires that you have the Microsoft DirectX Media 6.0
Runtime Libraries installed on your computer. Normally these
will be automatically installed either when you install Windows
98 (2nd Edition) or when you install a DirectX-enabled host application
such a (reasonably modern) audio editor or sequencer. However,
if you do not already have these libraries installed (e.g. if
you are working with a clean installation of Windows 95 or NT4.0
and/or you have not installed a DirectX-enabled host application),
then follow the instructions below.
To
download the DirectX Media 6.0 Runtime Libraries, carry
out the following steps:
- Click on the icon below to begin downloading dxmediax86.exe
(Size: 4.51 MB approx)
- When prompted by the pop-up window in your browser, choose
Save to Disk and specify the directory where you want the DirectX
installation program to be saved.
- After the download is complete, locate and launch the file
you downloaded by exploring your hard drive or choosing the
Run option in the Windows Start menu. (The file is where your
Web browser saved it.) This will begin the setup process. Follow
the on-screen instructions to completion.

Note:
The size of the downloaded file should be 4,731,632 bytes (use
the File->Properties menu in the Windows Explorer to check). If
the size of your file is different, then there has been a download
error. Please try again (perhaps when the web is less busy).
