1.2-- System requirements

ReSample requires an IBM-compatible PC with Microsoft Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4.0, or 2000, operating systems. It is recommended to install the most up-to-date Service Packs for your operating system (contact Microsoft for further information on Service Packs). ReSample is compatible with Windows XP only in Windows Classic Style, not in the default Windows XP style (with which the ReSample GUI is incompatible). For this reason, Windows XP is not yet formally supported.

ReSample requires a Pentium®-class CPU with a clock speed of 166 MHz or greater. A Pentium®-II, or higher, is recommended for optimal performance.

ReSample requires that your computer has a minimum of 64MB of RAM, though more RAM is recommended for enhancing the speed of conversion.

ReSample requires 32 MB of disk-space for the installed program files. In addition, your computer must have sufficient disk-space to accommodate any WAV files that you wish to create/manipulate with the ReSample software.

It is recommended that you also have a soundcard on your computer in order that you can listen to the WAV files being processed. ReSample is designed to operate with any Windows-compatible soundcard. Before installing ReSample, make sure that your soundcard is properly installed with the appropriate WAV driver for your operating system (refer to the installation documentation from Microsoft and from the manufacturer of your soundcard for further information on installing the soundcard under Windows). It is recommended that you test the soundcard to make sure that it is functioning correctly on your computer before you use it in conjunction with ReSample.

It is recommended that you have a Java-enabled Web Browser (such as Netscape Navigator v4 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer v4 or higher) installed on your computer in order to view and navigate the ReSample "Help" files (not available in the demo version).
