2.3-- Saving and loading a project |

|
At any time during the configuration process, the current state of the project can be saved to a project (".prj") file by pressing the "Save project..." button (located at the top of the screen) or by selecting "Save project" from the main "File" menu.

At a later point in time, the project file can be loaded (by pressing the "Load project..." button or selecting "Load project" from the main "File" menu). The entire state of the previously-saved project will be loaded. This includes the list of files to be processed, the conversion settings for each file, and the status of the conversion for each file (i.e. "already processed" or "not yet processed"). This status information is used by the "smart" Project Manager to determine which tasks need to be processed when the "Start..." button is pressed. Any task which has the "already processed" status, and for which none of the conversion settings have been modified since loading the project file, will not be re-processed at runtime (unless the user chooses to override this mechanism). This feature allows for a large batch job to be stopped, saved, then re-started at a later point in time, avoiding the re-processing of tasks which have already been processed.
Note that a previously-saved project can be opened (by pressing the "Open previously-saved job" button) from the startup menu (see Figure 1).
