2.4-- Stopping and re-starting a batch process

At any time during the batch ReSampling process, the process can be interrupted by pressing the "Stop..." button. The task currently being processed will be aborted, but any previously-completed tasks will be flagged as such by the Project Manager. The following screenshot shows the process window after the "Stop..." button has been pressed in the middle of a batch job:

Figure 6 Example view of the ReSample process window after the "Stop" button has been pressed in the middle of a batch job. The progress indicators reveal the current job status i.e. in this example, 25 files converted, 19 remaining. The 47% displayed in the "Total job progress..." bar is computed taking into account the length of each file in the project (i.e. not just the number of files). The "Modify" button enables you to switch back to the project configuration window to make adjustments to any tasks, or to add new tasks, etc.

When the processing is subsequently re-started (or saved, loaded, then re-started) by pressing the "Start..." button, the following window appears:

Figure 7 Pop-up window which appears when the processing is re-started having previously completed some of the tasks. The user has the option to "Continue..." (from where the job was left off ), or to "Restart" (all tasks in the list will be re-processed).
By pressing "Continue...", only those tasks which had not been previously completed (including the task which had been aborted by the prior interruption) will be processed (unless, for whatever reason, the user chooses to override this mechanism and re-process all tasks in the project, by pressing "Restart").
