3.2-- Setting the output filename / location

By default, ReSample will place all converted files in a subdirectory named "ReSampledWAVfiles" located in the root directory of the ReSample installation. By default, converted files will retain the filenames of the respective input files. The default folder can be arbitrarily changed via the "Modify" (Output folder) button located in the "New task output settings" panel.

Once added to the project, the output filename/location for selected tasks can be arbitrarily adjusted via the "Modify" (Output file) button located in the "Selected task(s) output settings" panel.

ReSample will forbid you (via pop-up warning dialogs) from: (i) selecting the same folder and same filename for the input and output files; (ii) selecting an output folder with insufficient disk-space for the impending ReSample job.

Hint: for maximum performance (in terms of processing speed), it is recommended to use different hard-drives for input and output files. In this way, the same drive-head doesn't have to continuously jump between input and output file locations during the read/write process.
