3.9-- Setting the output amplitude

Use this selector to choose the desired output amplitude (either for the default new task settings or for the selected task(s) settings, as determined by the toggle state of the settings panel).

Possible output amplitude settings are:

input

Output amplitude equals the input amplitude (for all channels).

gain

A user-defined gain is applied to the output. When this option is selected, the "Settings" button appears which activates the gain settings window where the gains can be adjusted per channel or across all channels (see screenshot below).

normalize

The output amplitude is normalized by a user-defined factor relative to the maximum signal level allowable before the onset of digital clipping. When this option is selected, the "Settings" button appears which activates the normalizer settings window where the normalization factors can be adjusted per channel or across all channels (see screenshot below).
