4.2-- Why can I not play all of my converted WAV files using the "Play" button(s) ? |

|
The ReSample "Play" button uses the basic Windows MME driver protocol to access the default soundcard for playback. As such, only those sample rates, bit-depths, and channel allocations supported by the given driver/soundcard combination will work. In most cases, this is restricted to [8-, 16-bits], [22050, 44100, 48000 Hz], and [mono, stereo], respectively. Any other combinations (e.g. 24-bits, 96000 Hz, surround-sound) must be played back using the appropriate soundcard/driver/software system with suitably extended capabilities beyond the basic Windows MME protocol.
