Dynamic Range Controllers:

Control Clipper

Functional Description
Clips the amplitude of the control signal to within the limits specified in the Parameter Window, as summarised in the following table.

Parameter Purpose
"Upper" slider Sets the upper clipping threshold which is given by the slider value multiplied by the "Max value" range selection. The resultant upper threshold is displayed in the "Totals level" indicator box. Any signal amplitude which exceeds this threshold will be clipped to the threshold value.
"Lower" slider Sets the lower clipping threshold which is given by the slider value multiplied by the "Max value" range selection. The resultant lower threshold is displayed in the "Total levels" indicator box. Any signal amplitude below this threshold will be clipped to the threshold value.
"Max value" selection buttons Sets the range for the threshold settings.

Algorithm
Floating-point arithmetic.
