Displays and Scopes:
Control Running Sum Display
|
Functional Description
Real-time digital readout displaying the cummulative sum of the values of the
control signal input since "play" was pressed.
For convenience, the display does not reset to zero when the "stop"
button is pressed. It retains the last value until
the "play" button is pressed again, whereupon it is reset to zero before
the DrawingBoard is actually executed. The display can also be frozen
at any time when the DrawingBoard is running by pressing the "Freeze/Unfreeze" button in the
Parameter Window (the display is released by pressing the button again, but the
total running sum will
be invalid until the DrawingBoard is re-started).
This display is particularly useful
for monitoring
the instantaneous location of a file playback pointer
when working with
Playback Controllers.
