Switches:

Controllable Switch 8 Outputs

Functional Description
Routes the audio input to the selected audio output, nominally muting all other outputs. The signal selection is dynamically performed via the control input (its floating-point value rounded up to the nearest integer value, with out-of-bounds protection). The instantaneous selection is displayed in the "Active output" readout in the Parameter Window. The "Output gain" slider adjusts the output level, and the "Activate all" checkbox enables the switching to be overridden by sending the input to all outputs simultaneously.
Algorithm
IMPORTANT: This switch is not a "true" switch in the sense that it only mutes the un-selected signal ports rather than de-activate all components on those sub-branches connected to the un-selected ports. Hence all components on all sub-branches are continuously executed in real-time -- albeit, some with muted signals -- so caution should be exercised when using such switches in order that the CPU is not exhausted by excessive numbers of components.
Signal Implementations
Audio signals Control signals Description
Single input 8 outputs mono-monosingle input The mono audio input is sent to the selected mono audio output. The control input determines the selection.
Single input 8 outputs mono-stereosingle input The mono audio input is sent to the selected stereo audio output with individual left and right gains. The control input determines the selection.
Single input 8 outputs stereo-monosingle input The stereo audio input is sent to the selected mono audio output after applying individual left and right gains, followed by averaging. The control input determines the selection.
Single input 8 outputs stereo-stereosingle input The stereo audio input is sent to the selected stereo audio output after applying individual left and right gains. The control input determines the selection.
