HeartBeat with Echo
Same as "HeartBeat.dwb" but with downstream components to create an atmospheric background based on repeated
echos.
Illustrates the use of the amplitude & frequency controlled oscillator (the orange block). This generates a tone at an
amplitude and frequency determined by the control inputs "A" and "F", respectively.
The Combo Control Generator (A) generates a modulated "A" signal, and the Combo Control Generator (F)
generates a modulated "F" signal. For added effect, the amplitude control signal is used to modulate the frequency
control signal (via the red "multiply" block). Highly elaborate nested modulated oscillators can be built this way.
Throughout WaveWarp there is a consistent system: any block which requires a red "A" input must generally take its
input from a block which generates a red "A" (amplitude) control output. (You may deviate from this system but the results
may be unexpected !)
The default settings sound like a (frantic) heart-beat. The stereo feedback delay components create a dense echo
atmosphere, which builds up into an "engine room" background atmosphere. Experiment with all settings to explore the
wide range of interesting tones which can be generated by the WaveWarp oscillators. Try different effects instead of the
stereo feedback delay.
