NoiseReductionUsed AsASpecialEffect

Description
Noise reduction used as a special effect Illustrates how the noise-reduction-by-spectral-subtraction technique can be used to produce strange audio effects by adjusting the parameters of the de-noiser to yield extreme audio artefacts ("musical noise"). Normally these artefacts are considered as objectionable side-effects which should be avoided by careful adjustment of the de-noiser settings. However, as this example demonstrates, they can be put to good use in producing interesting spectral distortions. By harnessing the positive benefits of noise, we convert a liability into an asset ! See also the "NoiseReductionBySpectralSubtraction1.dwb", "NoiseReductionBySpectralSubtraction2.dwb" "NoiseReductionBySpectralSubtraction3.dwb", "NoiseReductionBySpectralSubtraction4.dwb" and "NoiseReductionBySpectralSubtraction5.dwb" example DrawingBoards for implementations of de-noisers for their intended purpose, namely, the removal of unwanted noise.
