Important notes:
1. In order to make use of the MATLAB-enabled WaveWarp extensions, you must have MATLAB (v6.0 or later) installed on your computer. At the time of writing, all functionality has been developed and tested with MATLAB 6.0 and 6.1 (Releases 12 and 12.1). Earlier versions of MATLAB are not supported.
2. All MATLAB files (m-files, mex files, MAT-files, etc) which are included with the WaveWarp Audio Toolbox distribution are stored according to the directory structure of the WaveWarp installation. The user should not change the names and locations of these directories (nor any of their contents). To do so may corrupt the MATLAB-specific functionality of the WaveWarp Audio Toolbox.
3. WaveWarp automatically initiates MATLAB whenever it needs to e.g. every time the WaveWarp Audio Toolbox is started (enabled via a user menu option) or when a MATLAB-enabled component is placed on the DrawingBoard, etc. During this auto-boot of MATLAB, the appropriate paths required by the WaveWarp Audio Toolbox are automatically appended to the MATLAB Path. Specifically, the directories added are as follows: the "wwmatlab" and the "wwmatlab\wwguis" directories located in the root of the WaveWarp installation.
4. Once MATLAB has been initiated by WaveWarp, the user is free to change the MATLAB working directory since the required paths have been established during the boot-up.
5. WaveWarp will only initiate one instance of MATLAB.
