1.1-- System requirements

WaveWarp only runs on IBM-compatible PCs with 32-bit Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT4.0, 2000 or XP operating systems. It is recommended to install the most up-to-date Service Packs for your operating system (contact Microsoft for further information on Service Packs).

WaveWarp requires a Pentium®-class CPU with a clock speed of 166 MHz or greater. A Pentium®-II, or higher, is recommended for optimal performance.

WaveWarp requires that your computer has a minimum of 64MB of RAM, though more RAM is recommended for enhancing the real-time performance.

It is recommended that you have a DirectX-enabled audio editor/sequencer application in order that you can use WaveWarp as a DirectX effect plugin. To make use of this functionality, WaveWarp requires that version 6.0 of the Microsoft DirectX Media Runtime Libraries are installed on your computer.

It is recommended that you also have one or more soundcards on your computer in order that you can listen to the output. WaveWarp is designed to operate with any Windows-compatible soundcard. Multiple soundcards can be used simultaneously to increase the number of audio channels. If you wish to make use of the "live" input capability of WaveWarp, you require one or more soundcards with audio input functionality. For simultaneous "record" and "playback" via a single soundcard, the soundcard and corresponding driver must be "full duplex". Before installing WaveWarp, make sure that each soundcard is properly installed with the appropriate WAV driver for your operating system (refer to the installation documentation from Microsoft and from the manufacturer of your soundcard for further information on installing the soundcard under Windows). It is recommended that you test each soundcard to make sure that it is functioning correctly on your computer before you use it in conjunction with WaveWarp.

It is recommended that you have a Java-enabled Web Browser (such as Netscape Navigator v4 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer v4 or higher) installed on your computer in order to view and navigate the WaveWarp "Help" files (not available in the demo version).

It is recommended that you set your graphics card to a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (minimum) and to a font setting of "Small Fonts" (for Windows NT4.0) and "Small Fonts [Normal size 96dpi]" (for Windows 95/98).
