2.6-- Adjusting parameters

In order to adjust the parameters of any component on the DrawingBoard, double-click on the component 's icon using the left mouse button. This will open the Parameter Window containing the parameters for that component. For example, see the Parameter Windows for the "Simple Delay" and the "Decibel Mixer" components in Figure 1.

Use the left mouse button to click and drag any slider to alter its settings. You will hear the difference (if the DrawingBoard is currently playing).

There are various types of parameter controls which you will discover when exploring WaveWarp. These include sliders, buttons, check-boxes, data-entry dialog boxes, etc. The manner in which these are manipulated will be self-evident, and you will rapidly gain familiarity after a little experimentation.

Notes:

    1. in addition to using the mouse, the value of any slider can be changed by typing into the dialog box below the slider (or using the associated increment buttons). Also, the "up" and "down" arrow keys (on the computer's keyboard) can be used for fine adjustments.

    2. many components have "Stereo ganging", "Mute", and / or "Bypass" checkboxes. If the "Stereo ganging" checkbox is selected, the parameters for the left and right channels can be conveniently adjusted simultaneously using the controls for either channel. If the "Mute" checkbox is selected, the output is silenced (overriding the parameter settings). When the "Bypass" checkbox is selected, the parameters and the effect are ignored, and the audio passes through unchanged.
