2.19-- Deleting one or more components |

|
To delete a component from the DrawingBoard, first select it by clicking on it with the left mouse button.
(the selected component is visually distinguished by a series of small black squares around its perimeter, as illustrated in Figure 12), then press the "Delete" key on your keyboard, or, equivalently, press the "Delete Component(s)" button on the toolbar as shown in Figure 13. Multiple components can be deleted together (by first "lassoing" them with the left mouse button or selecting them in succession by holding down the "CTRL" key when clicking). Connection cables included in the "lasso" will also be deleted.

Figure 12 Screenshot illustrating a "selected" component, distinguished by a series of small black squares around its perimeter (the "Simple delay" component in this example). Once selected, a component (or multiple components) can be moved, cut, copied, pasted, deleted, or dragged on to another DrawingBoard.

Notes:
1. all the edit commands are also available under the main "Edit" menu.
2. multiple components can be selected together (by "lassoing" them with the mouse or selecting them in succession by holding down the "CTRL" key when clicking). They can then by moved, cut, copied, pasted, deleted, or dragged on to another DrawingBoard, in exactly the same way as for a single component. All connecting cables are preserved during these operations.
3. some of the edit commands have HotKey alternatives (see section 2.29--).
