2.20-- Connecting components together with virtual cables

Each component has input and output connection ports which are represented by small triangles located on the left and right edges of the component icon, as illustrated in Figure 14. The input connection ports are distinguished by the fact that they "point towards" the icon, whereas the output connection ports "point away" from the icon. The connection ports are color-coded according to the type of signal they represent, as described in chapter 4--.

To connect components together with virtual cables, click on an output connection port of one component with the left mouse button, hold the mouse button down and drag the "cable" to an input connection port of another component, then release the mouse button. This will connect the components together with a virtual cable, as desired. The rules for connecting various types of components together are explained in

chapter 4--.
