3.1-- DirectX Host Application Compatibility

WaveWarp 2.0 DirectX plugin functionality has been developed to be compatible with the DirectX Media 6.0 API (from Microsoft). In order to access the DirectX functionality of WaveWarp 2.0, your computer must be equipped with the DirectX Media 6.0 Runtime Libraries.

Compatibility with the DirectX Media 6.0 API ensures that WaveWarp is compatible with many popular DirectX host applications.

Table 3 summarizes the state of compatibility for those DirectX host applications that have been tested by Sounds Logical at the time of writing. The entries in bold pertain to tests carried out on the full commercial versions of the software. Moreover, at the end of this chapter, there are step-by-step instructions on how to "get started" with each of these applications in combination with WaveWarp. The other entries in the table pertain to tests carried out on the respective demo versions of the software.
